2019 Maine Lobster Ride at the Camden Snow Bowl
July 20 and 21, 2019

Registration Now Open!

Welcome to the 2019 Lobster Ride. By popular demand, a strong collaborative commitment continues this popular and unique ride. This annual event offers cyclists a picturesque road ride through Midcoast Maine, beginning and ending at the Camden Snow Bowl, also home to the Ragged Mountain Recreation Area.

This year, Penobscot Bay YMCA, the town of Camden Parks and Recreation, Sidecountry Sports, Specialized Bikes and the Bicycle Coalition of Maine are sponsors of the Lobster Ride. All proceeds go to supporting Pen Bay YMCA health and wellness programs; outdoor recreation opportunities for kids and families through Camden Parks and Recreation; and bike safety advocacy and education through the BCM.

The 2019 ride on Sunday, July 21, offers the four traditional Lobster Ride route options through scenic countryside and along coastal vistas. Rest stops and SAG wagons provided along the routes. Enjoy an après-ride lunch at the final destination, available for purchase from a variety of local food trucks, while enjoying live music.

For locals, and those wishing to make the 2019 Lobster Ride a two-day event, Saturday, July 20, is a full day of family friendly activities, thanks in part to Sidecountry Sports and the crew from Specialized Bicycles. Events include the BCM bicycle safety rodeo for kids; guided and independent mountain bike trail ride options; bike demos (road, mountain and e-bike); as well as a VIP ride with the Specialized Bicycle Brand Representatives.

The Snow Bowl’s triple chairlift will be running Saturday, offering scenic rides to the summit, with views of the Camden Hills, Penobscot Bay and the islands. Lobster Ride registrants who pick up their packets on Saturday can take advantage of a free chairlift ride ticket.

This year’s Lobster Ride is limited to 500 entries. Sign up early as we expect to sell out quickly. You can register by clicking the Register button below, or you can register and pay by check or cash at the YMCA (Camden or Rockland) or the Snow Bowl office.
