5th annual Ragged Mountain Scuttle

September 23, 2018

The Ragged Mountain Scuttle is a 5K Adventure Obstacle Race…

Location: the 5K adventure race is set on the Kuller trail at the Camden Snow Bowl. Located in Camden, where the mountains meet the sea, runners will be sure to enjoy the ragged terrain and a beautiful view once they hit the top.

Basic Course: The course offers a variety of natural and man-made obstacles over a 5K course with plenty of elevation gain. Whether you’re racing as a team or an individual, we promise this will be an event you’ll be happy you signed up for. The majority of the 5k is on the Kuller trail, an intermediate level trail. The trail does has some steep pitches, and climbs 500 feet. The course will begin and end directly behind the Snow Bowl lodge.

You won’t die, but it’s a challenge you won’t soon forget. — 2015 Participant

Children’s Course: If your child loves climbing, jumping, rolling like a Ninja, the children’s course is a must-do experience. It will be located at the base behind the Snow Bowl lodge. Cost is a $5 donation, providing unlimited use of the course, which is within view from inside the lodge.

Waved Start: The event will have a few waves of starts beginning every 15 minutes. The first wave is at 10 a.m. and the last wave is at 1:30 p.m. When you select your heat time, you will receive a confirmation via email with your start time prior to race day. NOTE: Register early because heat times are on a first-come basis, and once a heat time is full it will be closed out.

Arrival: Please arrive 45 minutes prior to your start time to register, and get your bib and information. Music, food, the children’s course, bounce house and beer will be available throughout the day.

Parking: Parking is available at the Snow Bowl lodge, at the base of Ragged Mountain, as well as along the road leading to the Snow Bowl.
