The Camden Summer Recreation Program is an exciting 6 week program supervised by qualified, experienced, caring counselors who are dedicated to seeing that your child has a safe and enjoyable summer.

WHO:
The program is open to children who have completed 2nd through 6th grade.

WHEN:
The 6 week program starts July 5th. It runs 4 days a week, Monday through Thursday, from 9AM to 3PM and ends August 11th.
WHERE:
The base of operations for the program is the Camden Snow Bowl. All Summer Rec children will meet at the Camden Snow Bowl at 9AM each day (see transportation). Everyone will leave from the Snow Bowl for trip destinations.

TRANSPORTATION:
Children will meet each day at one of the following locations.
Parents are required to sign children out or furnish a note authorizing children to walk.

WHAT TO BRING:
Each child must bring a lunch & a snack each day, a bathing suit, appropriate clothing, sunscreen, sun-glasses, and a water bottle. Clothing should be marked. PLEASE DO NOT BRING: Personal stereos or electronic games or a bad attitude. This program encourages children to interact with each other and the environment.
DISCIPLINE:
All disciplinary matters will be handled by the staff and program director, and more serious problems will be brought to the attention of the Parks and Rec. Director. Children may be removed from the program if the situation warrants. This is necessary to maintain a quality program for the benefit of all participants.
RAINY DAYS:
We have limited access to indoor facilities on rain days, and will do our best to provide adequate arrangements. However, if you can make alternate arrangements for your child, it may be better for them.

REGISTRATION:
Children should be pre-registered at the Parks and Recreation Office at the Snow Bowl. In order to register, the necessary registration form & permission slip, along with the program fee must be submitted. The permission slip will cover all activities and trips during the 6 week program. Registration forms will be available here closer to time.
SCHEDULE:

These are trip days, to beaches, parks including: Lake St. George, Birch Point Beach, Damriscotta Lake, Isleboro, Fort Knox. Maine Discovery Museum, and etc.
Many different types of activities will be offered. Our goal is to provide experiences that each camper will enjoy and provide the opportunity to grow, learn and have fun. The Camden-Rockport Area has a lot to offer, and we will be setting up special activities in which campers can explore the uniqueness of this area.
