A Plan for Redevelopment
Why Now?

The Horizon study commissioned by the parks and recreations committee clearly identified the need for a major upgrade of the area.

The facility is close to forty years old and is falling apart and non compliant with ADA and other code requirements.

Lodge capacity of 100 does not meet the current and future needs.

We need to invest now to ensure financial viability and continue continued service rather the continued patch job approach.

There is a critical need for economic investment for Camden and the region's future. Recreation and sense of place as outlined in the Brookings Study supports the need and plan.

Extending the length of visitors stay and use of the outdoor recreational activities in the region makes sound business sense.
